In the multimedia installation entitled The conspiracy of the birds & other unexpected events, photographs, videos and sounds transport the viewer on an unexpected journey.

The collection of images, at the origin of this creative process, explains the usage of a database as a presentation mode. The database, composed of fragments of personal experiences, evolves as time is passing by; some datas are lost while others are found.

Images from daily life meet with self-portraits, bestiaries and images of architecture creating a composite constellation, which, just as it destabilizes, nourishes the poetic resonance of the work. None of the image by itself contains the complexity of nuances that emerges of the group. The Conspiracy of the birds & other unexpected events is an invitation to a journey, soliciting each person's own referents, imagination, memory and sensitivity.

This project has been created during an artist-in-residence program at A-I-R Laboratory, at the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, Poland, from January 4 to April 24, 2006. This residency was made possible by the programme les Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes.
