Tropismes

The new media installation Tropismes has been presented at the Galerie Thérèse Dion from September 9th to 30th, 2006.A series of photographs complemented the exhibition.

In the installation Tropismes, Josée Pedneault partially uses randomness as a mode of presentation. So doing, she confuses expectations, upsetting the usual order of things. The work builds meaning through a fortuitous web of significations, a network of relations between the work's many components and the imagination, sensitivity and memory of each individual viewer. The installation Tropismes, which can be experienced metaphorically as a walk, unfolds in a poetic narration, a contemplative wandering.
